$1.1 billion secured for home development, improvements on submit and at 5 other installations
FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) – The U.S. Military has authorized conditions negotiated by Lendlease, the company that owns and operates housing on various installations, for $1.1 billion in funds expense from community money institutions to accelerate housing development and enhancements at Fort Hood and five other installations.

The funding will speed up improvements to 12,000 existing homes at Fort Hood, Fort Campbell, Fort Knox, Fort Wainwright, Fort Drum, and on Oahu and will fork out for design of much more than 1,200 new houses at Fort Hood, Fort Campbell, Fort Knox and Fort Wainwright, and a major portion of the funding is likely to Fort Hood.
Work will commence this summer season, Lt. Gen. Pat White, III Corps commanding typical, reported.
“I look ahead to observing our troopers and their families in fashionable housing that they can be very pleased to phone house. People today are our greatest asset, and we owe it to the troopers and people who function and reside in this article to deliver them the best housing possible,” he explained.
