LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Officers with the Lincoln Law enforcement Section arrested a guy they believe that was thieving construction products from a vacant home becoming renovated.

Close to 4 a.m. on Monday, law enforcement were being dispatched to a property on S 48th Street in Southeast Lincoln, for a report of a theft in development.

LPD reported neighbors known as 911 reporting that they read glass breaking and 1 or two individuals sporting dim garments, had been going inside of a property.

According to law enforcement, the household was vacant and remaining renovated.

LPD reported responding officers noticed a guy within who experimented with jogging absent but law enforcement chased immediately after him and caught him a couple of blocks absent.

Law enforcement arrested 25-12 months-aged Bryce Peterson.

Officers explained they uncovered a 7-inch fastened blade knife in his pocket. LPD said officers also identified Peterson’s car or truck parked nearby with the driver’s facet door window broken and license plates removed. Officers identified numerous pieces of building gear in the again of Peterson’s car.

In accordance to law enforcement, officers found the keys to the auto when exploring Peterson’s possessions.
