Pune Police’s Criminal offense Department has arrested a 32-calendar year-old guy for allegedly impersonating NCP MP Amol Kolhe and demanding support from a reputed builder.
The accused, Vishal Arun Shendge (32), is a resident of Tilekar Nagar, Kondhwa. Law enforcement stated Kolhe lodged a criticism, alleging that a man impersonated him and demanded support from a reputed builder.
Law enforcement mentioned the individual contacted the builder residing in Wanavdi location, and although proclaiming to be MP Amol Kolhe, questioned him to assist those people folks who suffered owing to the Covid-19 lockdown.
A probe by the Crime Department staff, led by Sub-Inspector Vijay Zanjad, exposed the involvement of accused Vishal Shendge and his accomplice Suresh Bandu Kamble of Ganj Peth, in his fraudulent contact. Both of those had been subsequently arrested.
An FIR has been lodged at the Wanavdi police station versus Shendge and Kamble beneath IPC sections 170, 419, 420, 34 in the scenario.
Police said Shendge experienced before manufactured similar fraudulent phone calls by impersonating point out BJP chief and MLA Chandrakant Patil. Police explained there are 7 past offences in opposition to the accused individuals.
